This photo was in my pile of mystery photos for a long time. Today I picked it up and noticed a resemblance to another photo we recently identified.
While there are no names on the back of this photo, I think these two look like younger versions of Anna and Zi Johnny! What do you think? To help you decide, I've posted the photo from a previous post of Anna and Zi Johnny below this week's photograph. Below that are smaller versions of each photograph side by side. An adorable photo of Rose and Ida. Thanks for the ID help, Idie! ;-)
Click on "comments" above to add your thoughts and/or memories! A sweet photo of George as a toddler. As you can see from the photograph, he was a scholar even when he was two!

The first has no writing on the back, and the second is a postcard (again with no writing) that has the word "Italiana" stamped on it. This is hardly helpful, I know, but on the off chance please let me know if you've seen them before. Click on "comments" above to add your thoughts and/or memories! I'm sure that many of us wish we were enjoying the sun on beach somewhere right about now.
Here's Armand, Carmel and some friends enjoying a summer day at Short Beach in Branford on the border of East Haven. I love looking at the stylish bathing suits of that time, and the white turban their friend Ella Grasso pulls off with such panache. Armand, full of mischief as always, has written "Fernando Lamas" on the back of one of his photos. I've posted an image of the Argentine born actor and director, so you can decide whether you see a resemblance... A short history on the area of Short Beach can be found here. |
