In the 1940's, when you'd go out to dine, it would not be unusual for a photographer to ask to take your picture. You would receive the photograph in a card-stock frame with a cover that would name the restaurant where it was taken.
The first two souvenir photos are of Armand & Carmel in 1946 at the Towne House on Crown Street in New Haven, and the next one is taken with their friends the Panzo's at Fitzgerald's Restaurant in 1946.

I especially love that first long shot at the table with Roberta's cake, and the grill shot with the brothers. Enjoy! I stole this beautiful profile portrait of Ida from George - thank you George! He had it on his ancestry.com tree. Just lovely. I'm guessing this is from the 1940's.
