Hugo with his army buddies in front of what seems to be a church in the area of Seine-et-Oise, just outside of Paris. Seine-et-Oise was a former "départment of France" encompassing the western, northern, and southern parts of the metropolitan area of Paris (wikipedia). There were 81 communes, and it's hard to tell which one of them he is in.

I have quite a few photos of Edmund with his buddy, Teddy Wiesenthal. In the letter posted today, from January 2, 1944 he mentions him. Armand trained during WWII at Fort Belvoir, VA. Below, find some snapshots he and his fellow soldiers took during November of 1941.
